Happy Home Opener!

Today was the Pirates home opener, so here is something fun I styled... Black and Yellow!! I can't wait to go to some games this year! But back to the outfit... Here is a tip to try: When you have a bright color with a black pant, feel free to do both colors of accessories, it will really stand out. Other colors would also work with this outfit, throw in one of your favorites, like a pink, blue or red.

#OOTD

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! Last week we Burghers had some crazy/bipolar weather, but like I always say "Everyday is a fashion show and the world is my runway"... So here are some of my outfits I put together. Also... If anyone tells you leggings aren't a pant, they are lying. You just have to get a nice, thick pair!

Rain Gear Ready!

Today was an extremely gloomy day in the Burgh... So I was bored yet inspired, as always. I'm a huge supporter for rainboots. Especially Burberry because they are fabulous, and practical. (I use mine a lot in the winter - Incredible gift from my amazing aunt, uncle and cousin) I also like to bring out a color that is an accent in the accessories or shoes, hence why I chose the dark red dress. Although there is an umbrella as part of the outfit, I think leather works good in rain since it won't get visible water marks on it... I so can not wait for nice weather! It was such a looong winter!

Stripes and Colored Jeans

Such a fun and simple look! I think vertical and diagonal stripes work well and flatter many different body types, so naturally... I'm a fan. Haha Also you can make an outfit really pop with a pair of colored jeans. I kept the jewelry and shoes pretty simple since this was such a colorful outfit, and I love both gold and silver jewelry and have a good bit of each... It really comes down to everyone's personal preference.

Mens Mix and Match

I think a good pair of black jeans for men is kind of like the equivalent to the little black dress for women. Men's clothing is so fun to style... You can easily mix and match basically everything and dress it up or dress it down.

Little Blue Dress

I really believe that fashion is the next great love of mine, after all the amazing people I love of course. People always come first... But this is what I do when I can't sleep, my passion, creating different outfits and looks. I've always had a wild imagination so it just makes sense that this is what I do. Haha I love this Hervè Lèger dress and the Manolo's! The necklace is Hermès, the bangle is Pavè, and the ring is Swarovski... Love! Love! LOVE! Too fab!

How to Reuse Outfits To Create a Different Look

This skirt is absolutely fabulous, and a lot of the time people ask if I ever wear the same thing twice... I do, I just have some tricks. I previously used this skirt in another post, but here it is shown as a completely different look. So when people see this, they are going to think it's a whole new outfit instead of "actually I just changed the top and accessories"... You're welcome. Lol!

Demonstration of Layering Jewelry

I wanted to demonstrate how to layer jewelry today and I thought this was a good outfit to show that with. The necklaces are both totally different pieces that I put together based on the color of the outfit. The most important thing is finding the perfect lengths to wear your accessories and it works in your favor when both pieces are adjustable. The bracelets are also seperate pieces that you can wrap around one another to layer those as well.

How To Mix and Match Black and Brown

Back in the day it was an absolute no go to wear black and brown together and I love the person who was daring enough to change that! This is how you can tie those two colors together... A nice mix of each!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Enjoy your day!

Less Is More

Everyone has probably heard the expression "Less Is More"... And this look proves that you don't need a lot to dress it up. I personally love jewelry and feel naked without it, but on day when I'm running late, I would do a fun set of earrings that don't need anything else to complete the outfit, and of course a ring because I can't be without them.

It is also possible to add more jewelry to this look, like a bracelet and necklace, but definitely do a smaller earring when you add to it. (I just wanted to prove that things also look nice with less)

Another good thing about this look is how it is tucked in... I am a fan of tucking tops in because sometimes it can really accentuate a small waist.

Happy Monday everyone! <3

#OOTD

I am a huge fan of crazy bright colors, but sometimes I also loving wearing the basics and neutrals like this look shown above.

All I did with this outfit was throw on a nude (Forever21) camisole with my black skinny dress pants and my white jacket (Both from Express). My ring is from Forever21, and the necklace and earrings are Silpada. I carried a black Michael Kors purse with nude Steve Madden patent leather flats.

Makeup:
I love red lips, mainly because it's aka for I didn't feel like putting eye makeup on so this made it all better. Haha! So here is what I used:
Lipstick: Sephora Brand color Hot Tango
Eyeliner: Clinique color Black Brown
Mascara: Clinique color Black

Hair: Haven't washed it in three days so yes, a bun was an absolute must. And the headband was just thrown on to dress it up.

P.S. I'm now washing my hair.
Goodnight!

#OOTD: Get the Look

Today I literally threw this outfit on. I got ready in a total of two minutes... I had a very relaxing day with a wonderful facial (Studio G - They are fantastic) and a nice bottle of wine, and this was the look I went with. Super easy and works with any body type imaginable! P.S.   This is as "bummy/sloppy" as I get Lol! And sometimes it just feels amazing to not wear makeup Haha

Real Life Disney Princess Look: Jasmine

I decided to create a real life Princess Jasmine with this look I styled today. (She's my favorite)

So the rule that you have to match your belt, shoes and purse... Yeah. I'm creative with my own personal style so I don't necessarily match those items all the time. In this case, however, I did. When you have a lot of jewelry like this, adjust the necklace so it's further away from the earrings, that way it doesn't look too cluttered. I also matched hammered items (necklace and earrings) Also, it is important to make sure the shades of gold or silver used, match. That is key! Last tip for this look... With bracelets, if one is a bigger bangle, use a smaller ring, and with a larger ring, use on the hand with the smaller bracelet.

Hope this was helpful!
Happy almost TGIF!

Sometimes You a Gotta Work From the Bottom to the Top

So sometimes you can get inspired from the ground up, as I did here for a Boho Chic look. I literally started with the shoes and then this outfit came to me. We have all made that mistake of buying an amazing outfit and invisioning a shoe that wasn't even made or available. And for those of you who LOVE shoes... This is a perfect idea. Start with the shoes and go from there. This was the order I did things in for this look: shoes, dress, belt, sunglasses, jewelry, clutch, hat. Happy that it ended up coming together like this!

My Passion for Fashion

So I have decided to actually "blog" and express my true love for fashion. So stay tuned... He goes.

Fashion is everywhere. Unless you are part of a nudist colony... You wear clothes, you have your own style, your own way of expressing yourself via your appearance. That's a beautiful thing isn't it?! I have always been myself, I "walk to the beat of my own drum", if you will. It's just what makes me, me. I wear things that some people think look ridiculous, but it's something I am comfortable in and love and took pride in creating.

I didn't always like my appearance, "I'm too fat, my nose is too big, my brown and tan features are boring, etc. But the one thing I always had control of was how I dressed. I  LIVED for going shopping almost every Saturday with my beautiful Mom and "the white hairs" aka my gorgeous grandmothers. Despite what my Mom may think, she is the most beautiful woman inside and out. She has more class than anyone I have ever encountered, and she's fabulous. From the way she acts to the way she dresses, pure fabulosity! I think I got my love for fashion from her... And I'm SO thankful for that.

From the time I was little, I constantly wanted to dress up. Even if I got made fun of, I didn't care. I just liked to dress up. I never did it to impress people, I do it for myself. It's my passion, my hobby, it's everything to me... I absolutely love it. Putting outfits together isn't something that can be taught, you have to have creativity and a wild imagination... And those are things I truly believe I was born with.

My vision... And Dream...
I want to be a personal shopper/wardrobe stylist/consultant in Pittsburgh. I refuse to break someone down by telling them how terribly dressed they are. I want them to feel confident and fabulous. I would never tell someone to lose weight to fit into a trend that is "popular" at that time, I want to make them feel beautiful in whatever look they are going for. There are always trends that don't work for certain body types, but I have a weird talent for finding a similar style to fit everyone. I won't tell you that ideas you have for an outfit are stupid, but I will help to find something flattering. I will be honest, but not hurtful, and I think that will help me to be very successful.

So yeah... Those are just a few of my thoughts. <3 Good night. Stay fabulous.

New Outfits Styled by Yours Truly

This first look is the boyfriend chic look. As I have said before, different shoe options can surprisingly change an entire look of an outfit. I don't personally believe that you absolutely can not have silver and gold combined, but for this look I chose to do gold jewelry because of the details on the blouse (gold buttons). And gold looks great in the summer against tan/dark skin.
The second look is more of a high fashion/fashion forward outfit that anyone can try! (Perfect for NYC) I noticed I had a lot of nice dress shorts that I loved, and wanted to wear them when it was cold, so why not add a pair of tights underneath. I also love Oxford shoes, and they would also look nice with the outfit above with the boyfriend jeans. With that particular outfit I would actually accessorize with black though.

Men's Jewelry

So I took this entire page from an online Silpada catalogue, but I love all four of these pieces! They are manly, and can easily be dressed down with jeans and a plain T-Shirt (Which is how my boyfriend dresses, and he doesn't leave the house without this necklace). They can also be just as easily dressed up too, which is great for a night out, dressier dinner dates, and also great for the office! These items can be worn on any type of style a man can possibly wear. And honestly, there is nothing sexier than a well dressed man!

Ideal Prom

This is a prom style that I came up with... It's such an elegant look, yet simple, but the dress can really be transformed with all of the jewelry that can be added. With most gowns it's important to focus on the neckline and top of the dress because sometimes with higher necklines that are busy, and with bedazzled straps, a necklace will take away from the dress. "Less Is More" in that case!

Mix and Match! The Possibilities Are Endless!

So I fell in love with this skirt and then before I knew it... This is what happened. I love that the possibilities are endless and you can mix and match so much here! These colors are all so different, but look so nice together.

Great Outfit That Won't Break The Bank!

So it's a pretty decent day out in Pittsburgh, and my sister told me to do an inexpensive casual look so here it is! Looking at that outfit with full accessories and makeup, one wouldn't think it is affordable, but surprise!! It is! There is only one item over $25, and only two over $10. I would say that's an amazing deal!

Side note... With a bold lip color like that, I would do a simple eye.

All the clothes and accessories are from Forever21, and all the makeup is NYX.

#OOTD

Good afternoon everyone!
So here is my #OOTD

I was just out and about running errands today and this was cute, convenient and comfy!

Olive Green Tights: Express
Boots: Ugg
Sweater Dress: Forever 21
Belt: Forever 21
Scarves: My Moms closet (Hehe)
Earrings and Ring: Silpada
Headband: Charlotte Russe
Sunglasses: H&M
Coat: Burlington

Here are some ideas for you to try:

Note I mentioned scarves as in plural! Yupp... Definitely used two! One was an olive green and the other is a burnt orange.
Here's How: Twist them together, tie them in a knot together at the top and there would be your brand new 2- toned scarf! (P.S. It works best if lighter materials are used)

Also... A friend of mine asked me to blog about how silly it looks when girls wear Uggs with a skirt. I'm not here to judge anyone, just to share my love for fashion and hopefully give people some ideas, so this is one way you can wear Uggs with a dressier outfit!

Hope this helped everyone! Have a great day!

#OOTD

#OOTD

Here is today's outfit of the day... Had a wonderful evening with some of my amazing girlfriends, even though one of them is moving :'( So Of course we had to talk about the most ridiculous and inappropriate things ever, and with us... It just has to be that way. Haha

Here is my outfit that I wore to El Campesino:

I like this look because you can easily dress up a very casual outfit with some good jewelry and heels.

Cardigan: Abercrombie&Fitch
Tube top: Guess
Pants: Abercrombie&Fitch
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
All Jewelry: Silpada

The Little Black Dress

"One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress" - Karl Lagerfeld

The Woman's Staple Item: The Little Black Dress
And all that you can do with them!

One of my fave items ever! You can never have enough LBD's! They are timeless, elegant, fabulous, and they come to fit all body types... They are kind of amazing. Another reason I like them is because they are incredibly versatile. There have been SO many times when I was asked if I ever repeat my outfits... The truth is yes, but you would never know because of how I put different items together each time I wear them. It is amazing that a simple change will alter a whole outfit!

I/m also a big fan of mix and match... With clothes, accessories, and even bathing suits! So I have put a few things together on this post for you. Many different LBD's: Chanel, BCBGMaxAzria, Express and Forever21 to prove that fashion comes in all price ranges. Also... SO MANY CLUTCH AND SHOE options which is awesome! And amazing jewelry! My beautiful mother sells Silpada, so a lot of my jewelry is ordered from her, but I also like to get accessories from Charming Charlie and Forever21.

I hope this post has helped people to get creative, and think outside the box. Be daring and wear it with confidence! One of the main reasons I love fashion is because it is a reflection of each and every once of us, so just be yourself!

Side Note: If you ever have any questions on how to style an outfit or a good idea for a blog topic - Feel free to send me a suggestion!

Welcome! <3

Welcome! <3

Thanks for checking out my blog!
I have some free time housewifing it up these days, and I'm working on starting my own business. I  really want to focus on having my own wardrobe consulting business. I am very goal oriented, and I know I can do anything I set my mind to... That's the only way I know how to live, thanks to having wonderful parents and grandparents.

So a few things I know about fashion, so that people know they can trust me...

1. Fashion comes in ALL shapes, sizes, colors - You can pull anything off as long as you wear it with confidence! However I will be honest and tell you what looks good, and what can look better.

2. Although I grew up reading Vogue, I know that price really doesn't matter. I can find amazing looks based off of any budget - You can't put a price on fashion. I do have my favorite designers, however I also know I can find great inexpensive looks!

3. I don't believe in having one particular style... Which is what made me a successful stylist in LA. I can do casual, formal, and anything in between for men and women. Fashion is the most beautiful form of art, you live your life in it.

So what I want to do with this blog is to show of the amazing fashion world with makeup, clothes, accessories, jewelry, shoes... And probably some other fun stuff that is randomly on my wild mind. After all, my blog is called "Labels Love and Life : ) Thanks in advance for following!

P.S. I am going to try really REALLY hard to post #OOTD 's on here Lol
