Fall in Crimson

It could be the inner dancer in me, but I love leg warmers, and incorporating them into daily fashion. This Look is all over the place price wise, but it could easily be found for a relatively inexpensive price. It will flatter most body types, and it's more on the trendy side. I'm loving all things Crimson this fall, and this is such a comfortable look that will keep you fashionable yet warm... And who doesn't want that?

Reminiscing Sweet Summertime

Just reminiscing about the summer. Feels like it was so long ago already since it's freezing out in mid October. But I'm all about the boho look, relaxed, comfy, and this one is pretty patriotic as well. Lol #Merica

My Best Friends Wedding: Part 1 - Bridal Shower

"I don't always dress up, but when I do... Shoes with red soles and big calves are involved" Lol That will be my theme of the day. Fashion and Fitness are two of my fave things, so I love being able to combine the two!

Today was one of my long time best friends Bridal Showers, and let me just say how refreshing it is to see a couple who focuses more on a marriage than a wedding day. Lacey looked so beautiful and truly happy, and she deserves the best.

My FashionablyFit Birthday!

Yeah, I've been MIA for a while. Oops.
I've been trying to focus on who and what is the most important in my life. And I have found it! Faith, Family, Fashion and Fitness.

Today is my 28th Birthday! YIKES!

I must admit... One of the best things about being blessed with creativity to be a wardrobe stylist is picking out your own clothes for fun. Equipped with a fabulous tiara of a birthday headband👑💁🏽 It's my birthday and if I want to change 12 times then damnit I will! Body Image: Beautiful No Matter a What

In high school I did my senior research paper on something I am very passionate about. Body Image. There is not only fat shaming, but skinny shaming and even muscle shaming. One of the main reasons I'm so into fashion and fitness is because I want EVERYONE to feel amazing and confident in the skin they are in. If I can be remembered for one thing, I hope it's that I helped people to look and feel their best no matter what size, shape or age. I'm not saying I believe in obesity, because that's not the case. But I do believe Everyone starts somewhere and they are always beautiful. #YouAreBeautiful

What I Do In My Spare Time

I've said on numerous occasions that I don't have a particular style, which makes me an extremely versatile stylist. And yes, I am extremely appreciative and blessed for this gift. So... Here are a few looks I put together. Casual, Boho, Glamorous... Enjoy!

Beach Bum

I. Need. Summer. Now!!

In the meantime... My fantastically supportive, yet fashionably clueless father didn't really understand that wardrobe styling for clients was a skill, so he wanted me to create a sapphire outfit and he picked out the shorts. Needless to say, he was baffled with what I was able to come up with. Btw, my daddy HATES high heels, so he was happy with my flat shoe selection. And Alie and I are his beach bums... Aka That shirt is perfection.

Valentine's Day Outfit Idea

Although I personally don't partake in Valentine's Day, I'm sure some of my clients do. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! This is just a nice idea for a night out with your special someone. Keeping it simple with the neckline and design on the front of the dress, I feel a necklace just wouldn't work at all, so I simply omitted that and stuck with simple earrings, a bracelet and a ring. And that Alexander McQueen clutch... Love. At. First. Sight. <3

The Affordable Night Out

A common misconception about fashion is that it is too expensive. Just like improving your diet (shop at Aldi, Walmart, Giant Eagle sales, Sam's/Costco) your wardrobe can be improved without breaking the bank as well. This outfit contains all items under $50, and for how detailed it is, that is a great deal! The thing I will say about clothing is if you spend more, you will typically have it for longer because as they say "you get what you pay for"... Which I have found to be a very true statement. BTW, This look would be great for a night out with your girls or even a dinner date with your significant other.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mixing Prints/Patterns and Neutrals

With this post I wanted to show off how to mix and match prints/patterns and neutral colors that most people wouldn't think to pair together or that those even made sense. Also, I have obviously moved on from the teals to the blues, I'm sure I will be sick of that in about five minutes too though.

P.s. You no longer need to match the belt, shoes and handbag/clutch. Be daring. And rock it all with confidence, because that is the real key to beauty.

The Perfect Simple Classic Little Black Outfit

I love to wear black, however I went through an anti-black wearing phase after working for Victoria's Secret for four years. It's been a while though so I think I am finally out of that stage now. Black will 110% make you look thinner, so this would be a great outfit to flaunt your curves and show off a tiny waist all at the same time! This could also work for so many different occasions too, business casual, happy hour, girls night, date night or just a fun night out on the town. And I love the fun Charlotte Olympia clutch that will add that tiny pop of color <3

Chartreuse Yellow Printed Leggings

I'm loving on this chartreuse yellow tonight, mainly because anyone who knows me, knows I love my brights! They will also know I have a strong love for leggings and don't trust anyone who attempts to tell me they aren't pants. Leggings like this are great because you can wear them with all of the colors shown in them (blue, black, white, chartreuse yellow) and pair it with fun accessories and a solid colored top. I chose the Temperely London poncho because I'm currently freezing and it looks warm. #PittsburghProbs

Stay warm folks!

Meeting Monte Durham

Happy Monday my fellow fashionistas!

My Mom and I went to the Pittsburgh Ladies Fest/Bridal Convention yesterday and got to meet the oh so fabulous Monte Durham from Say Yes To The Dress: ATL! Awesome day! We also had the privilege of meeting a few Silpada and styling clients as well and I was especially happy being able to watch the SAG Awards with her and Alie after our adventurous day!

My day of "Bridal-ness" got me thinking about weddings and bringing fashion to the isle and I came up with this look...

Very simple yet classy and elegant. With weddings, when it comes to jewelry and makeup... Less is ALWAYS more. This Roland Mouret dress was more on the simple side, so I added a little bit of a bling factor to spice it up a tad! Monte was talking about makeup for the big special day and made an EXCELLENT point: You always want to test your makeup every once in a while because of season changes and skin tone changes. Another important thing with makeup is to keep it simple. Your soon to be husband wants to marry the woman he initially fell in love with, not a made over cupcake version of that person. And of course, I wanted to add the something blue as the pop of color.

Enjoy!

Creating an Outfit starting with the Necklace

This high fashion look was created starting with the necklace first, and will definitely be an example that less is more. With a huge statement piece like this it's important not to add too much other jewelry because you will definitely junk up the entire outfit. Also, with an Alexander McQueen clutch as shown above, it serves as the jewelry on that hand, so no rings are necessary. This outfit would be flattering to show off a tiny waist and can also be very inexpensive to recreate (with an exception of the jewelry)

Fashion truly is the greatest form of art.

Until next time!

Versatility

Versatility is something I will always pride myself on. I never had a style that fit into an actual category (preppy, runway, trendy, punk, classic, high fashion, etc.) I just know that I love fashion, that's that, and these four looks can portray it. Whether it's a jumpsuit, dress, pants or leggings, if you can wear it, I can style it. I do like to use color when I create outfits, and accessorize, but I can also do a lot with neutral colors too, and I understand that at times, less really is more.

This is something that comes so natural to me, and I'm blessed to have this talent and creativity to be able to think outside the box. A lot of times I have people come up to me to compliment my outfits and they usually will say something along the lines of them not thinking to put something like that together for themselves. So thank God for wardrobe stylists huh? Haha

Happy Friday everyone! Do something wonderful with your weekend <3

Crimson Red with Black

I discovered a new game to play with Ben while using my creativity. I had him pick out a pair of shoes, any pair of shoes. And then I create the entire outfit based off of the shoes. He was almost as impressed with my creation as I was! This outfit is definitely a higher fashion look for a trendy and daring fashionista, and I could see it being worn in LA. So basically, the beautiful Kylie Jenner could totally rock it.

And Hermès <3 I don't even need to say anything else...

Hott Mamas On The Go!

Well... With so many of my beautiful friends either expecting or already experiencing motherhood...

This look is for all of you hott mamas on the go out there! Just because your child/children are first, doesn't mean you can't look good to feel good too! Don't neglect yourselves too much, ladies! This is a simple, easy look that takes really no extra time, because I know... You have no spare time.

Teal is one of my absolute favorite colors in clothing because it looks great on all skin tones and hair colors. However, *Sidenote* I will be retiring teal blog posts shortly because I feel I overuse them and will be choosing another color to abuse Lol! Anyway, this kind of outfit flatters all body types and it can also be very inexpensive as well. (Minus the accessories.) Assuming that you all run errands fully clothed, this is an easy way to dress up a casual look, and keep you comfortable while you are at it!

Hope this was helpful!

How to Rock Ripped Jeans

I have an addiction. I love putting all kinds of unique colors, solid and prints together to create looks that anyone can wear, as long as they wear it with confidence! Of course all the jewelry is Silpada, and we have Hunter Boots, Guiseppe Zanotti heels, Diane Von Fürstenberg top, Henri Bendel crossbody, Piazza Sempione belt... Just So many options and things to love about this look!

Fashion Art

Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.
                     -Oscar Wilde

Well, I can't sleep. So I will blog. Apparently my cold meds haven't quite kicked in yet for whatever reason. I'm not going to post all the details about the three looks I have created, however I have a few things to say about them. And I definitely see Carrie Bradshaw in all of them! For starters... I love Giuseppe Zanotti. Less is more. Prints and fabrics don't always have to match in order for your outfit to make sense, and Hervè Lèger bandage skirts will forever be my fave. I wanted to keep this short and sweet so you can all just be inspired by these looks without explaination. Go out. Be daring. Be bold. Be YOU. And love you for you.

Silpada Represntin'

It only took me ten years, but my fabulously gorgeous mother finally got me to sell along with her. Mainly so we can go to conference together, and I'm pretty sure we are both okay with that! #BestFriendsForever And to get lots of free jewels! ; )

I know there are a lot of people who still prefer gold as opposed to silver so I am really happy that Silpada added an entire line of brass pieces to the collection. I personally don't have a preference, I wear both, and the pieces are so versatile you can do anything with them!

The Classy Pant Suit Everyone Can Rock!

Whether it's a celebrity roaming the streets of NYC, a fashion savvy businesswoman, or even just a woman who likes to dress up, pant suits are huge right now! As a wardrobe stylist I like to give options of how to wear different looks, hence the three different tops seen in the picture. You could also be extra chic and daring and go without anything under the blazer, however I wouldn't recommend that for an office setting.

I chose to add the mint green accessories to it so it would break up all of the blue, and I'm also big into color blocking anyway. No one wants to look like the cookie monster, and too much of anything could make you look like you don't own a mirror or have friends to tell you that you actually look insane.

Lastly, oh Oscar de la Renta... Those shoes are almost too fabulous! Definitely a special occasion kind of shoe, but definitely wearable with a nice pant suit! I hope this look brightens your day as it has done just that for mine!

Ciao!

WorkOut Attire

Two blogs in one day! And three in two days! I truly impress myself on days like this!... I'm sick, and watching football and figured I could blog and add some fashion to fitness. Two of my most favorite things.

Although clothing wise, I try to look cute... I am not THAT girl who wears makeup to the gym. For starters, it's terrible for you skin. Second of all, I put in WERKKK when I'm at the gym so it would be completely sweated off. But I did love this workout outfit with the billions of shoe options available!

Spice Up Your Neautrals for Winter/Spring

I love neutral colors, but I always have to spruce them up by adding pops of color to make it fit my personality. This outfit is great for that awkward period of winter/spring and will keep you warm during that time! These kinds of dresses work great with tights/leggings, as well as looking good on skinny and curvy body figures. Try it out for yourselves!

Add a Fur Vest And Warm Up This Winter

When I'm not gymin'... I'm Stylin'

I came up with this look because like many other women, we are worried to wear fur vests. Most of the time I have tried to rock one, I looked like a 350 Ib Eskimo/Sumo Wrestler. This normally isn't so much a look that will show off a tiny waist, hence why you have to add a belt! Genius! I know. That's why they pay me the big bucks. Lol jk!

I also added gold jewelry because my personal preference is gold with tans and browns. Feel free to omit the layering if you feel uncomfortable with all of it.

When it comes to shoes, seriously... So many shoe options. Any and everyone could pull this look off, and being that I'm a versatile stylist it's important to give many options.

Until next time!

NEW! Silpada K&R Collection 2015

This new collection makes me insanely happy! I mean... Seriously, so beautiful! I love that Silpada is so versatile! You can dress it up, down, layer it, wear it simple, all based on your personal style. These are a few of my absolute favorite pieces! Stunning. I love that we have a brass collection for the people who don't wear silver too. These colors shown above really pop and would look good paired with almost any color, pales, brights, bolds, and neutrals! Enjoy! Xo!
